Biography

Lon is a 1964 graduate of University of California, Davis. He completed his PhD and clinical pathology residency training at Cornell University. Lon earned Diplomate status in 1973, the inaugural certification class in the specialty of clinical pathology within the ACVP. Lon is member of the AVMA, CVMA, SCVMA, ACVP, and ASVCP. Lon founded Professional Animal Laboratories (PAL), later partnering with VCA Antech, Inc., laying the foundation for what was to become Antech West. With Antech, Lon has held several leadership roles, including past Chief Medical Officer of Antech West. In his free time, he enjoys antique collecting, mountain hiking, fly-fishing in Idaho and Montana, and handyman projects.
