Biography

Dr. Patrick Roady was born and raised in Troy, Illinois. After graduating from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Roady practiced large animal medicine, primarily working with beef cattle. After a short stint at a small animal clinic, he returned to his alma mater for his residency in anatomic pathology. Dr. Roady was hired as faculty at the university’s Veterinary Diagnostic Lab. During tenure there, he became the section head of pathology, parasitology, histology, and eventually was named Interim Director of the VDL. Dr. Roady joined Antech Diagnostics in 2023, and is excited to be able to concentrate on providing accurate diagnostic support to veterinarians. Dr. Roady’s professional interests include ocular pathology and production of animal medicine. Dr. Roady resides in northern Colorado with his partner Denna, two sons (Brandon and Jake), and two dogs (Juno and Moose). During his free time, he enjoys mountain biking and hiking throughout the Rocky Mountains.
