Biography

Originally from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Amanda Smith earned her DVM from Oklahoma State University in 2021. She completed a residency in anatomic pathology at the University of Missouri in 2024 and joined the faculty as an assistant professor and diagnostic pathologist. Her diagnostic interests include poultry medicine, equine pathology and infectious diseases. Outside of work, she enjoys fitness, equestrian sports, reading, and having adventures with her family. Her four-legged family members include 2 Great Pyrenees (Jethro and Kezzie), 3 cats (Azula, Naboo, and Theo), and a geriatric warmblood (Omar).
