A 1-year Equine and Small Medicine and Surgery Internship at Okotoks Animal Clinic in Alberta ultimately sparked her interest in veterinary imaging. Several years of general clinical small animal and equine practice was invaluable for pursuit of a specialization in veterinary imaging. Dr. Silver completed a radiology residency and Master of Science in Radiological Health and Safety at Colorado State University in 2008. She then became an Associate Professor in Radiology at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. She achieved her tenure certification in 2012. Dr. Silver very much enjoys returning to the university for veterinary imaging teaching locums. In 2013, became the initial and sole radiologist at VCA Central Victoria Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Clinic in Victoria BC providing both inpatient, specialist and outpatient services. She has now been a self-employed radiologist having worked with Radterra Imaging Services along with other veterinary hospitals and specialty centers since 2018. Dr. Silver joined the Antech Imaging Services team in mid 2023. Tawni has a passion for dressage and hiking the BC west coast with her husband and their dogs.
