He graduated from Murdoch University in 2010 and worked in general practice in Western Australia for a number of years before being accepted into the diagnostic imaging residency program at the University of Sydney Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Since 2014, Tim was accepted as a member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists by examination (Radiology Chapter). He completed his residency training, a masters degree and European board examinations in 2019.
