Biography

Dr. Shaiken received her DVM from Kansas State University. After 4 years of small animal practice in Houston, she did her radiology residency at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Shaiken then moved to the Kansas City area where she established a mobile ultrasound practice (largely dogs and cats but the occasional ferret, rabbit, and horse as well as volunteering at the zoo), working there for 24 years. During that time, she also worked part-time with a number of specialists at a referral hospital as well as working as a reader for the OFA. She joined Antech Imaging Services part-time in December 2015 and became full-time in March 2016. Dr. Shaiken currently lives in Denver with her husband, a retired attorney. She has one son who is an engineer with a software company in Seattle.
