
Dr. Seward is a Colorado native that received his Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science and Masters in Business Administration from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO. He worked in agriculture and the equine industry for nine years including roles as the Director of the Racing Challenge program at the American Quarter Horse Association and in racing promotion and regulation in the horse racing industry. Dr. Seward completed his clinical training at Colorado State University and received his DVM from Ross University in 2008. In 2009, he completed a fellowship in equine medicine at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute. Following five years of general veterinary practice in Colorado, he headed to Blacksburg, VA where he completed a combined Master’s degree and four-year residency in radiology at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech University in 2018. Dr. Seward became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology in 2018. Professional interests include ultrasonography and teaching. Dr. Seward resides in Sarasota, FL with his wife Shawn, and two youngest children, Chase and Dixon.
