Biography

Dr. Sokol is a board-certified veterinary anatomic pathologist with special interests in hepatobiliary and zoo and wildlife pathology. He earned an undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Pennsylvania and his doctorate degree at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Sokol continued at Cornell for residency training in anatomic pathology at the New York State Animal Health Diagnostic Laboratory and then joined the San Diego Zoo as the Steel endowed pathology fellow, building familiarity with the diseases of avian, reptile, and exotic ruminant species, among others. He became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in 2016. Dr. Sokol joined Antech Diagnostics in 2017, where he serves as chair of hepatopathology. He currently resides in Bentonville, AR.
