Biography

Simona graduated in July 2010 and performed a PhD in Contrast Enhancement Ultrasound (2016-19) from University of Messina. After a brief experience in general practice, she underwent a rotating internship at Clinica Veterinaria Malpensa (Italy) in 2011 and she spent another year in Emergency and Critical care in the same referral centre. In 2013 she performed a specialistic internship in Diagnostic Imaging at the Istituto Veterinario di Novara (Italy). She worked for 4 years as a Radiologist in Italy and in UK.In October 2018, she started an specialist internship in Diagnostic Imaging in AHT and the residency programme in October 2019 under the supervision of Dott. Ruth Dennis. In 2020 she continued the residency program under the supervision of Dr. Swan Specchi at the Veterinary Hospital “I Portoni Rossi”, Anicura Italy. In 2023 she passed the certifying exam and became an ECVDI boarded specialist.
