
Dr. Murakami received his veterinary training at the University of Tennessee’s College of Veterinary Medicine. He then completed a rotating internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at the University of Minnesota’s College of Veterinary Medicine. He practiced for 2 years at a small animal general practice in Minneapolis Minnesota, before beginning a combined radiology residency and doctorate program at the University of Minnesota’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Murakami became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology in 2008. He earned his doctorate in 2010, after which he served as an Assistant Professor of Radiology at The Ohio State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. He was responsible for clinical service and teaching. He left OSU after one year to be closer to his parents. He currently serves as a Staff Radiologist for Antech Imaging Services. Along with his wife Erikka and their son Ren, Dr. Murakami now resides in Tennessee.
