
Dr. Yau graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. He then completed the anatomic pathology residency at the University of Georgia and became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in 2016. During his time at UGA, he obtained the Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award and the CL Davis Foundation Student Scholarship Award. He necropsied a wide variety of animals from millipedes to elephants, and helped update the Biopsy and Necropsy chapters in the current edition of Mader’s Reptile and Amphibian Medicine and Surgery book. Dr. Yau joined Antech in November 2016. His areas of interests include infectious diseases, zoo and exotic animal pathology, and emerging technologies in digital pathology. He also teaches rotating medical/surgical oncology residents and veterinary students from Western University of Health Sciences. Dr. Yau is a Hong Kong native and speaks fluent Cantonese and conversational Mandarin. In his free time, he enjoys wildlife photography, choral singing, volunteering for the CL Davis & Samuel Thompson Foundation, and spending time with his partner and family.
